The USGBC's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System™ (LEED) is the national standard by which green building is judged. Buildings are awarded LEED certification by earning credits for green building performance in sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. LEED certification is a signal of commitment to human and environmental health.

Teragren bamboo flooring, panels and veneer contribute to LEED certification
Teragren bamboo products contribute to certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED® v3 Rating System in three areas. Bamboo is naturally a rapidly renewable resource, so Teragren products contribute to MR Credit 6: Rapidly Renewable Materials.
All Teragren flooring products have also been FloorScore®-certified, a standard that qualifies them to contribute to LEED® v3 IEQ credit 4.3: Low-Emitting Materials—Flooring Systems. They have been tested for 78 VOCs and have passed the most stringent air quality standard in the world.
Teragren Synergy™ solid-strip strand bamboo flooring, stair parts and trim, and strand panels all qualify for LEED® v3 IEQ Credit 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials—Composite Wood and Agrifiber Products because they are manufactured using a phenol-formaldehyde adhesive that emits an average of 0.01 ppm of formaldehyde.
SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold-certified panels and select veneer are made with no-added-urea formaldehyde adhesive and also qualify for IEQ 4.4.
Other traditional bamboo flooring panels and veneer are available manufactured with an IEQ 4.4 formaldehyde-free adhesive; select products are in stock or by special order only.
Teragren bamboo countertops and table tops are made with a formaldehyde-free manufacturing adhesive; as such, they contribute to IEQ Credit 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials.
