MANUFACTURING ADHESIVES

Synergy wide-plank brindle

Because many of the most durable, economical adhesives contain different forms of formaldehyde, one of the industry's ongoing challenges is to make adhesives more environmentally friendly while maintaining high levels of performance. One widely accepted benchmark is the LEED® Green Building Rating System™ IEQ Credit 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials—Composite Wood and Agrifiber Products. This standard applies to Teragen's non-urea formaldehyde adhesive in their panels, veneer, countertops and table tops.

Teragren's floors are FloorScore®-certified, tested for 78 VOCs, and have passed the most stringent air quality standard in the world, qualifying them to earn LEED® v3 credit IEQ 4.3: Low-Emitting Materials—Flooring Systems. All Teragren panels and veneer are SCS Indoor Advantage Gold™ certified, a standard that qualifies them to earn LEED® v3 credit IEQ 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials—Composite Wood and Agrifiber Products.
