Synergy strand bamboo solid-strip flooring is manufactured under a patented process that fuses bamboo fibers with an environmentally safe adhesive under extreme pressure to form homogenous, high-density blocks that are sliced and milled into flooring planks. As a result, Synergy is 100 percent harder than red oak and 18 percent harder than Santos mahogany, making it perfect for high-traffic areas in both residential and commercial settings. Synergy strand bamboo flooring is available in four distinctive blends of bamboo strands—Wheat (natural), Chestnut (caramelized), Java (light and dark caramelized strands) and new Brindle, a beautiful blend of natural and caramelized strands.The 5-coat German finish includes a wear layer of abrasion-resistant aluminum oxide plus two scratch-resistant, polyurethane topcoats that protect the bamboo fiber's natural strength and beauty. Its finish is water-based and solvent-free, and its adhesives emit substantially less formaldehyde than is present in ambient air.
