By setting limits on indoor air emissions, this certification guarantees that certified products contribute to a healthy and safe indoor environment. Technically speaking, the SCS Indoor Advantage Gold™ Certification ensures that individual VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) do not exceed one-half of the defined CREL (Chronic Reference Exposure Levels) threshold.

Why is Teragren's Indoor Advantage™ Gold Certification important?
The certification of these panels contributes to LEED IEQ Credit 4.4: Low-Emitting Materials—Composite Wood and Agrifiber Products, effective April 27, 2009 under the following categories—One LEED credit applies to New Construction, Commercial Interiors, Core & Shell, and School.

 

The certification complies with the California Special Environmental Requirements Specification 01350, which is designed to ensure health through good indoor air quality. They are SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold certified (Registration SCS.IAQ-01879).

 

Teragren's products conform to the standards of the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) IEQ 2.2, a national movement to improve the quality of learning through exemplary design, construction, and operation of schools.
